In the stillness of Winter

At this time of year life and work can feel full. I’m always taken by surprise with the fullness of the season, even when I have intentionally planned a smaller more edited list of things to do.

As we move further into Winter I am reminded to take cues from this season to support myself, to notice the spaces, and the wisdom in nature right now.

In the stillness of winter…

Look up and see the wondrous structures within the canopies of trees. Branches are bare. Shapes and textures are revealed after a year of growth.

Look beyond the branches and see the horizon ahead, which until now has been hidden.

Pause. Notice.

The light is different. Empty branches allow more light through.

New patterns can be seen on the ground below as long meandering shadows form.

Above ground the branches are empty, and still. Taking a pause.

However in the soil the roots are doing gentle, unseen inner work, creating foundations for the next growing season.

Winter is a time to focus on your roots, to go inwards and reflect.

We are invited to slow down, to pause, to rest. Just as nature is doing.

As we move nearer to the Winter Solstice take this as your cue to slow down.

Pause.

Make space this season to reflect on the year. Think back season by season, month by month and see what you notice.

Honour the moments. Celebrate the shifts. Appreciate the evolution.

Go gently.

When you feel ready make space to think about your gentle, loose and nourishing plans for next year. Knowing there’s no rush to finish it during this month. It’s ok to not have a crystal clear plan. Appreciate the misty moments.

I’d love to support you to bring to life your ideas, your plans, your hopes and your dreams.

I’d love to support you to reconnect to the truest part of you. Creating space for you to explore.

I’d love to support you to reconnect to the intentional life you want to live.

Wishing you a wonderful festive season with time to rest and rejuvenate in the weeks ahead.
